I have 5 separate scenes in my project. I did not create them in the order in which I want them to appear in the final product. It's easy enough to link them to one another through the Player tool so that they actually flow in the right order but the software has assigned them a scene number that reflects the order of creation so - that's the number it's given in the Menu feature. To be more specific it looks like this:
Hi Mary. You can`t change the order of the scenes or the numbers once created. It is an odd limitation of the tool, but there is a bit of a trick to get around it.
First, go to the player properties - click Menu - click the wheel icon (additional options) and turn off the `Number Entries in the Menu automatically.` You will not longer see the auto generated numbers in the menu.
If you want to see numbers in the menu - then go story view and manually rename the scene headers to include the number you want to see in the menu.
Your tip solved the problem but, ironically the 'Number Entries in the menu Automatically' was not checked off. When I checked it 'on' it gave the correctly ordered numbers as per the instructions I gave as to which slide the 'next' button would move to. All is right in the world of Mary.
