Tab Order set does not match tab order reality - Please Help
Dec 11, 2019
Hello,
I am sure this has been covered somewhere in the discussion board before, so please forgive the possible redundancy of this question:
I have combed through both the items in the 'Tab Order' and deleted all items that do not apply, ordered them, added Alt text, and labeled all of the items (including within groups) in the Timeline; however, when I select 'Preview' and 'This slide', I have several items appearing that were neither in the Tab Order nor in the 'Accessibility...' (right-click on Timeline items) options for any items in the Timeline.
I have also used 'Slide Master' to see if there were any targets for those mystery tab order items but to no avail.
Please advise how I can find the mystery tab order items that are both off screen and appearing multiple times for a single button.
Thank you,
Confused about Tab Order

Hi! This discussion might help.
So sorry you're facing this oddity, Jesse. I'd love to help!
The discussion Nicole linked is handy, as it covers a few tabbing issues we're currently looking into:
Let me know if any of those match what you're seeing! If not, a few quick questions to make sure you get the most up-to-date and tailored support:
Hi @Nicole; Thank you for sharing this discussion.
Hi @Katie; What I am seeing is that the tab order selects items off the screen between the first and last item on the tab order and the player buttons.
Also, an icon that I have is treated as separate targets despite it being a single item; that is, the icon is broken up into several components when I tab over it but in the timeline it is just one item.
To answer your questions:
Thank you!
I have submitted the project for your review. Thank you :)
Hi Jesse - if that icon is grouped, each graphic included in that group needs to be separately set to not be visible.
It's Jesse with an 'e'
Thank you Nicole - it does not appear as a group - therefore I cannot parse the individual parts in the timeline.
