This is a silly little problem but it's driving me nuts. I want to do exactly what Jeanette does in this tutorial (same as the last one Peter listed above), which is import the Simple Tabs template and use the built in Design options to change the background. When I do it, it's not just the background that changes, but the entire slide design including the tabs, text box, etc. I get that it's probably doing exactly what it's meant to do. I just can't figure out what I'm doing differently than the tutorial....
Ha! I just looked at it again and see that she happens to choose design themes that include light colored objects.
I feel like the gang on Scooby doo when the mask is pulled off Mrs Jenkins to reveal the obvious suspect. I guess any day I can tie Scooby doo into my workflow isn't so bad. Thanks, Blair!

As in, can you use slides based on multiple Storyline templates in your course?
Yes.
HOW ?????
Hey Peter,
Here's how to create, share, and use Storyline templates.
Here's how to save, share, and manage player templates in Storyline.
And here's how to insert slides from a template into a Storyline project and how to customize the way they look.
Is that what you're looking for?
Peter,
Thanks a million. Just the right information I was looking for.
Right on! Good luck with the projects

any idea?
To change the background for that template you need to use Background Styles, not the design themes or colours
