You'll need to make sure you include Flash output in your publishing options so that Tempshare will work. It will still host both Flash and HTML5. Otherwise, let me know what you're seeing on your end.
Thank you for the great info,
The problem I encountered happened when using Chrome to load my file to
Tempshare...when I tried Explorer (which I never use), it did in fact work.
I really appreciate you answering me. This is such a great community...it
is one of the big reasons that I choose Storyline.

It looks like you may have attached a screenshot to your reply, but it didn't come through. Instead, would you mind sharing your Tempshare link with me? I can test it in Chrome on my end. Thanks!
That's the problem...you do not have access to the "copy the link" button, so the only option is to copy the long url and when you do that you don't get the whole file...but, again, this does not happen with Explorer.
hi there, pls help I seem to keep getting an error msg when I try to publish to tempshare. Saying "sorry we are unable to publish this file". I have tried it in both Chrome and IE. Pls help
What version of Storyline are you using? If you're publishing for Storyline 3 or Storyline 360 and using HTML5 only, those files won't work in Tempshare. You'll need to include Flash as a part of the output.
When you publish for the web, you can choose your publish formats as outlined here. That's where you'll add in Flash as a part of the output, but feel free to still use HTML5 first, Flash Fallback.
But, if you're using Articulate 360, I'd suggest publishing directly to Review. That's an easy and safe way to share your course with colleagues or reviewers and it'll be available longer than 10 days!
Thank you. We did publish to review but my manager doesn't like having the comments section showing for some of our stakeholders so I thought tempshare will allow to share without the review option.
I checked and it is already publishing in HTML5 with flash fallback but wasn't working.
I have published to articulate online to share with others and signed up for a free trial but how long is that good for and will it expire at some point? how do I know how many days of the trial I have left
It sounds like we're talking about two different products, so I want to be sure we're on the same page.
Articulate Review is a platform used to gather comments and feedback from course reviewers.
Articulate Online is a platform for deploying your course to learners, to track their progress, and to access completion and success data, like a learning management system (LMS). It is not used for gathering comments and feedback.
Are you using Articulate Review or Articulate Online? Can you share your link so we can get a better idea of what you're using?
Thank you everyone...I ended up with putting it on Articulate Review and removing the comments section.
I am wondering though why my screen recordings are coming out blurry....sometimes the screen would clear while at others it would get blurry? I recorded using the "select a window" option to record the window I am working from.
Screen recordings can have a loss of quality if the dimensions of the screen recording are much larger than the dimensions of the slide. Let's compare:
What are the dimensions of the screen recording? You can find this by performing a new Screen Recording and looking at the dimensions in the bottom-left corner of the recording frame.
What are the dimensions of the slide? You can find this by going to the Design tab and clicking Story Size.
my screen recording was set at 1916 x 1076 and my story size was set at 720 x 540. I realize this is where the issue may be. However, when I made my recording the same size as the storysize it's way too small to record. What is the optimal dimensions to record at?
Also, I have already recorded a lot of things and would hate to have to rerecord, what the best way to fix this issue now?
That sounds like the culprit, Sally. The video is scaling down by more than 50%, so that explains the loss of quality you're seeing.
When you begin a new project, we generally recommend that you determine the size of the screen you need to record before you set up your Story Size. You can read more useful techniques for recording pixel-perfect screencasts here.
Since you have already started this project, you can try adjusting the slide size, then re-insert the screen recordings. To insert an existing screencast you previously recorded, go to the Slides tab on the ribbon, click the Record Screen drop-down arrow, and choose a screencast. Then select the option to insert it as a Video on a single slide.
Thank you Alyssa. I wish I could insert as a video but I don't think it will work since we have audio recorded at every single slide of the recordings.

Hi JT! Tempshare should still work for you. What version of Storyline are you using?

Aw thanks, Jackie! And we agree, this community is a pretty great place. 💙
I'm curious, are you still having trouble using Tempshare in Chrome? If so, are you running into a particular error message?
Hi,
This is what happens and when when you cut and past the link the course
will play...but there are no images:

Hi Jackie,
It looks like the link you shared with me is not a complete URL. The URL should end with story.html or story_html5.html.
Would you mind re-sending me the link?

Hi Jackie,
Try clicking the View button, then copy the URL from the address bar. Here's a video that explains how to do that. I hope that helps!
Thanks so much for your continued involvement. I will try your suggestion
out.

Publish your content, using either the HTML5/Flash or Flash/HTML5 options, as described here under Step 3.

Hi Sally,
You can disable the comments in Review - take a look at this tutorial for more info.
If it's still not uploading could you share a copy of the .story file so that we can give it a test?
I have published to articulate online to share with others and signed up for a free trial but how long is that good for and will it expire at some point? how do I know how many days of the trial I have left
great I disabled the comments and it worked, however the player size is still small because of the banner on top. Could this be disabled?
Could you also pls answer my questions about articulate online?
Thank you.
