Tempshare is stuck at 99%

Mar 14, 2013

I have tried to publish a Storyline zip file to the tempshare multiple times over the past month using Firefox, IE, and now Google Chrome.  All get stuck at 99% published and then nothing happens.  It has worked for me in the past.  My collaborator is able to publish the file to tempshare from his computer without a problem.  Any idea why it's not working for me?  Help!??

Hi A H,

Any chance you can share the file with our support team, so we can test this out? You'll be able to attach the .STORY file on the second page of the following form:

Please be sure to include a description of your issue. Please also include the URL for this thread in the form. Also, please share the case number with me. You're welcome to do so here, or in a private message. This way I can follow the progress of the case and update this thread.

Thanks!

Hi Chris and welcome to Heroes!

I looked at Patricia's case, and it seemed that she needed to update her Flash player to be able to load to Tempshare. Regil provided her the following directions:

Please do the following to see if it resolves the issue you are experiencing:
1) Upgrade Adobe Flash Player here:
http://www.adobe.com/go/getflash

2) Clear your browser cache. You can do this in Internet Explorer by going to Tools > Internet Options > General > Temporary Internet Files. Select Delete Cookies and Delete Files.
3) Also in Internet Options, on the Security, Privacy, and Advanced tabs, reset everything to its default settings. There is a button on each tab to reset defaults.
4) In Windows Vista / 7, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run. In Windows XP, go to Start > Run.
5) Copy / paste the following line of text (depending on your operating system) into the Run dialog box. Click OK, and delete the entire contents of the window (folder) that opens.
Windows Vista / 7:
"C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects"

Windows XP:
"C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects"
7) Close all browser windows for the changes to take effect, and then test if you can now upload to tempshare.

I had the same issue where tempshare freezes at "Publishing 100%" when I published to Web, HTML5 fallback Flash. I published again to Flash fallback HTML5, same issue. When I published to only flash, it worked. However, my company does not support flash, so this solution is not viable for us. I will try other options.

I have this problem right now - I am uploading a 91Mb storyline 2 zip bundle but it keeps stalling at 98%. I tried twice, and then tried a smaller one which was 7Mb and it went up and then published in no time. After that I then tried the 91Mb again and it just dragged and dragged like taking half an hour. but it does creep up 1% at a time to 98 and then stops..... This is not browser related because I post to tempshare almost daily with the same browser, and have tried another browser and it does the same.  I have the same project settings every time so it is not that either. This has to be a network issue.  I have been uplaoding this same project every day for the last week or so, as the project gets bigger and bigger, and now that it has reached 91Mb - it decides to stop.... why?

Hi Brian,

Thanks for letting us know that you're running into an issue with Tempshare.

Your file size is well within the maximum file size of 500 MB, so that should not be the issue.

With your permission, I'd be happy to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

Hi, Brian. Thanks for circling back with this update!

Glad to hear the project successfully loaded onto Tempshare. If you hit this roadblock again, please let us know!

By the way, it looks like you may have replied via email where your contact information came through. This quick Peek recording will show you how to edit it out if you’d like!
