Terminology Help
Dec 19, 2016
I am working on building a terminology course and need some help. I have each letter of the alphabet listed at the top and each button has a normal state and a selected state. I am currently creating a trigger for each letter (ex. change state of C to normal if user clicks A, ex. change state of C to normal if user clicks b, etc...) This is a lot of triggers! I was wondering if there was a way to get the same effect using variables, variables are not my friend and I don't understand them well enough to know if this is possible.

Select all the buttons, right click and make them a button set. That way, only one can be selected at a time. When you select one, all the others are automatically unselected.
You are my hero for the day! I never found this in any of the search's I did to try to figure it out on my own, the answer was so simple. Thank you!!
Think of variables as sticky notes that you can leave around to 1. help you remember what you did (I leave myself a note every night: Start on slide # ) or 2. to let the night shift know what is going on (I painted the east wall, but not the floor). So the boss can tell them paint the floor if it hasn't been done, and the variable (sticky note) tells them if you have done it.
That's really all they do.
Walt, your analogies are always so helpful - bringing it into a real life situation is super helpful. :-)
