Test Crashes when user clicks the submit button

Nov 02, 2016

I built a course using question banks.  There are 14 question banks in the test.

60 questions in total.

40 total questions are drawn from the question bank.  Each test slide identifies how many questions should be drawn from each bank.

So far, I have two people testing this test who are reporting that everytime they hit submit the course crashes on my LMS.  Others are not reporting this problem.  I can't get the problem to happen on my machine.  I've checked their machines against the specs for viewing an Articulate Storyline course and they seem to check out.

Wondering if there are any troubleshooting ideas to help me figure this out.

Thanks.

Liz

I have checked their system specifications (Flash version, CPU speed, operating system) according to what you have on your web site relative to requirements to view an Storyline module.

The LMS Administrator took the test and had these comments:

The biggest issue I noticed is that after submitting each question, the browser temporarily freezes but only for a few seconds with most questions. Other questions have a delay of that’s upwards of 5+ seconds. During those times, I noticed that the browser stops responding. It starts back acting normally by itself though. I was however able to finish the test.

Attached is the story file.

I can give you access to the test on our LMS using a test account.  I would prefer to send you that information by email, however.

Thanks for your reply.

Hi Liz,

Thanks for sharing the .story file with us. This will help me test it in SCORM Cloud which is an industry standard for LMS testing and if you'd like to send me a link to the content directly within your LMS please use this form. You can also upload the .story file there if you'd prefer that not be in the forums publicly either.
