I am having trouble with my screen recording that I am presenting as a step-by-step test. I have a slide that has a hotspot inserted. The problem is that this particular field, I want to have the user type something into a text box before they advance to the next step. As it stands right now, when I click on the text box, it just advances to the next slide as if I clicked a button.
Any ideas how I could make this Hotspot a text field?
Would you be able to share your file so that we may take a look?
Also, in the meantime, it might not hurt to try a few things to rule out common causes of odd behavior. Please make sure you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline. Also, could you please ensure that you are utilizing the most recent SL2 Update? Info on Update 5 can be found here.
How would I share the file? Would anyone else be able to see it? It has some pretty sensitive information on it. I'm sure you have been asked this before.
Hi, Kevin - You have two options that would not involve sharing your file publicly here in the thread. You are welcome to submit a support case directly to our support team, or you can share the file privately with me and I can take a look. Either way, your information will be handled discreetly and confidentially.
