We have many old software courses that were created externally and loaded to our LMS. We have the published SCORM files but nobody is able to locate the eLearning course files!
How can I test the courses for Flash content? Do we have to play every one of them in Chrome with Flash disabled? If we did that and they work, can we be confident that they'll still work when Flash ends even if without re-publishing as HTML5?
if its scorm... thus a .zip file... unzip all... and search the folders for .swf and/or .flv If nothing found you know no flash ( .swf/.flv ) files in it.
Lauren provided this suggestion on another thread:
With courses that require Flash, you'll see a file that reads presentation_flash.html or story_flash.html. If you've published courses using HTML5/Flash Fallback or Flash/HTML5 Fallback, then your courses are safe with the removal of Flash.

Thanks Math. What about GIF files? Are they okay?
Gif should not be any problem
What if they were published for HTML/Flash? Won't the published files still contain some .SWF files created in the publishing process?
Hello Al!
Great question! We recommend converting SWF files to non-Flash files such as MP4 and then publishing with HTML5.
Let me know if you run into any snags!
I may be able to help you. Reach out to me at kimberlyscott05@gmail.com
