Testing on Storyline

Oct 22, 2013

Hi,

Is there anyway to test someone on the actual screen recording in Storyline? Let's say a basic task like sending an email.

If I recorded myself doing this, so clicking New Message >> Entering a correspondents name >> Entering a subject, etc...

Now I wanted to test the users knowledge, does the test me monitor where you click and if you click on the wrong button score this against the task overall?

So, if there were six processes (clicks on the screen) to complete the task to send the mail and you clicked in the wrong place once. You still scored 5/6 which would be over 80% so a pass?

I can't find a way of recording keystrokes and tallying up incorrect keystrokes.... Any advice would be hugely helpful.

Hi Julian and welcome to Heroes!

Yes, when you go to insert a screen recording you choose to insert it in Step by Step mode, and then choose Test mode from the drop down. You may also want to check the Test options and select items like "Automatically generate results slide" and you can even set what the passing score is on the results slide once it is generated.
