Testing Out of a Module

May 28, 2014

Hello!  I created a button that allows the learner to skip to the knowledge exam and essentially test out of the e-learning module. If the learner does not pass the exam (with an 80% or better) I want to require them to complete the module and take the exam again.  How can I do this in Articulate Storyline?

Hi Abbey and welcome to Heroes!

What about adding a "retry" button to the failure layer of your results slide? You may want to look at removing other navigation elements from the slide as a whole (such as previous and next buttons) so that the only option presented to the user is to "Retry" the course. Once you've added the button you can determine what slide they're brought back to - and you can easily add this from the Results slide options which will create your other triggers such as "reset results". For more information on using the results slide you'll want to review this tutorial.
