I need some help with ideas on creating a text animation to introduce a course. The text is "Welcome to Unit 1, Introduction to ABC". Originally a Flash interaction in Captivate was used, but I do not know Flash. Are there any "WOW" ideas out there for me to do something in Storyline? The normal fade in / grow options seem too dull.
Unfortunately you won't get the customizable options you get with flash as that is actual animation as opposed to path animations.
That being said, I'm sure you could make something creative by separating the individual letters of the title into text boxes and using Articulate's animations to create create a new animation. That may be more work than learning Flash...
Bruce put together a little example of story with some text effects. I've attached the file here. It might give you some ideas. - although you might want to skip the cats.

Thanks for the post, Nancy. Those animations could be used elsewhere besides text. Super cool.
Hi Nancy, how do I download this story file? Is it still available? Thanks.
Hi Annie! I did not have any issue accessing the file above, and I will re-attach to see if that works for you.
Thanks Leslie, this saves me from having to look for it again.
No worries Nancy.
