I'm using a text entry box for learners to enter a transcript for assessment. Once they have enough text to hit the bottom edge of the text entry, the bottom line appears cut off. My learners will need to type far beyond the size of the box, so once their text has hit the bottom, the last line of their text is always going to look cut off, which is distracting.
I've tried changing the text box format options but no luck. Any ideas?
The box when I type into it allows me to type as much as I want, even if the text is more than can fit in the box. Once there is loads of text in there, I can scroll up and down it with my mouse, even though there are no scroll bars visible. The issue is that once the box is full and I keep typing, the currently bottom line always appears cut off. Does that make sense?
Thanks for letting us know you submitted a case! I see that you worked with my teammate, Ronaziel, and after a deep-dive into your file, it looks like you're running into a bug we currently have recorded.
Bug: Text in a text-entry field gets cut-off when users hit the bottom edge of the text-entry field.
I'm sorry you're running into this, but we'll let you know as soon as we have a fix in place, both here and in your case!

Was there ever a fix for this? I'm seeing this issue as well. I have just a small text box with one line of text and it cuts off the bottom of the text.
I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue with text boxes! You are experiencing a bug in the software that has already been reported. I'm going to add your voice to the report. If there's any news regarding this bug, this conversation will be updated.
When I 'record screen' sometimes it automatically creates accurate input text entry sizes (which in this instance it works fine and the text is not partially cut off), but sometimes it just creates a larger text box than needed and I have to shrink it down to the text entry box size I want.
I find that when I have to shrink down the boxes that were generated for me during the recording to be a single line entry - it cuts off the text sometimes.
I did delete the generated entry box and just inserted a new one (getting rid of the default margins and fill color) and that seemed to fix is for now but not entirely sure that it will work like this consistently.

Hi Christina!
It sounds like your students aren't able to see all the content they've typed in!
In order to make space in a text box, I'd recommend using a Scrolling Panel! Have you tried this?
Here's a quick look at how to use Scrolling Panels with Text Boxes:
Thanks, Lauren. This isn't quite the problem.

For what it's worth, I did try your scrolling panel suggestion and encountered the same issue.
