Text box changes format

I hope someone can help me out with this issue and hope I explain this properly.

I created a module back in December, never to be touched/editted again, and took screen shots of every slides for a future manual. This module was published and put on our LMS (Moodle) last March.

I viewed the module yesterday (on Moodle) and found a formatting discrepancy on one slide. See screenshots. The text inside the text box has moved/shrunk.

How is that possible? And I've come upon this again in another module.

Any ideas?

Hi Julie,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing those screenshots. It looks like the first box is a bit more compressed than the second one.

  • Were both instances of the course launched from Moodle?
  • Does resizing the window help at all, or does it stay the same?
  • Are you seeing the same issue in multiple browsers?

I'm not sure why there would be differences if the original course was being viewed from the same LMS. We'd be happy to test your file and see if we can replicate the issue using the link below.

Yes, I'm seeing the same issue in multiple browswers.

Another module has this issue as well. Module was save back in Dec 2019 (all text boxes are fine) and published in March 2020.  Now, the text box is compressed. So what happened between Dec and March for this to happen, when no one touched that file?

Hi Julie,

Thanks for sharing those additional details! If you see the change within the Storyline file, then it's something we'd want to take a closer look at.

If you're comfortable sharing the screenshot and the .story file with our support team, we'd be happy to test and see what may be causing the issue. You can start a case here.
