Work with your slide view set to 100% zoom (this can be adjusted in the lower-right corner of your timeline)
If the issue still occurs, you'll also want to be sure you're following some basic rules to prevent strange behavior:
Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.
Finally, if your Storyline software is not working properly, a simple repair may fix the problem. If not, please feel free to submit a ticket to our support team for additional help.
Thanks for checking on those, John. If you'd like, we'd be happy to take a closer look at it. Can you please go ahead and open a ticket, including the .story file, so we can see what's going on?
Sorry to pop in here. Just wanted to let you know that we did receive your case (#00338949 for my reference).

Hi John,
Sorry for the trouble. A couple things to check that might explain this:

Let us know if that helps...
Thanks, John!
Peter,
To address you comments;
The DPI is set at 96
Slide view is 100%
We are working on our C drive (we are Mac users so we are in Paralles)
Output is less than 260
And there are no special characters etc. in the file names.
We have run the current updates as well and continue to have the problem I previously described.
John
