text dataentry field - show text that can be edited by users

Hi,

Is there a way to get a storyline text dataentry field to start with text that the user can edit?

I have a course on writing where the users need to edit some text and I dont want the users to have to write out the entire paragraph.

I can get the text field to show the text that i want the user to edit, but as soon as you click your cursor in the box it disappears.

I am sure there must be a workaround for this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HI Phil, thanks for your quick reply.

I have manged to assign the text I want as a value, but it is very problematic for the user to edit. And when referenced, the text appears very small and not in line with the font settings aplied to the reference.

While playing, if I delete the assigned text from the data entry box and then enter other text, it does appear just fine in the reference.

Any suggestions?
