Text does not show when "Use Modern Text" is checked
Jun 25, 2019
I have updated Articulate 360, uninstalled and reinstalled Storyline 3... boxes stay white and will not show text. In preview mode I see the text. If I fill the text box with color, type still does not show. The only way to get type to show is to uncheck "Use Modern Text". If I recheck the feature, type disappears from the screen. Font choice is not an issue, basic system fonts including Articulate and Opens San don't show as well as any other font I try. This problem only happens with new SL3 documents created from scratch. SL2 files opened in SL3 are fine. Two coworkers working on identical system set ups and software do not have this problem. Only variable is I have adobe creative Suite installed. Any idea how to start a new file in SL3 with Modern Text checked and being able to see text on screen?

I meant I reinstalled SL 360. SL 360 is not showing text in boxes.
Hi Jef,
It sounds like you're only running into this trouble with Storyline 360, but Storyline 2 and Storyline 3 files are behaving fine? I'd like to have our Support team take a look so I opened up a case on your behalf. They'll be in touch shortly to discuss next steps so keep your eyes out for an email from Support@articulate.com.
Jef, did you get a resolution to this problem? If so, I'd be interested to know what it was - I'm having the same problem with both Storyline 3 and Storyline 360. I have to turn off Modern Text in order to see text while editing, although it shows up when I preview.
Hi Patrice,
I'm sorry to hear you're running into this as well! I've opened a case on your behalf with our support engineers, where you'll hear from someone on the team soon. They'll do everything they can to determine what's causing that error to come up!
