Here's the thing: The text-box is examined for a specific input string. If the learner presses ENTER, it becomes part of the string. The comparison fails. Learners expect Enter to do a submit function from their web experience. At least... our testers expected it, so I suspect others will.
So... if we want the text box to only have the entered characters, and IF a learner presses ENTER after typing the text, we would like the Enter button to perform a SUBMIT function and not become a part of the text-entry string.

Hi Sam
is it set up as a quiz type slide or just a content slide? Can you share the slide might be easier for someone to offer a solution.
Content slide.
Without knowing what happens when submit is invoked?? Here is a quick peek to change the state of a submit button

Hi Sam,
You can repurpose a Text Entry quiz slide into a content slide and easily achieve what you're looking to do by choosing "Enter" as a submit key.
If you can share a sample slide or even a screenshot of what you're working with, I'd be glad to show you how to set it up!
This looks like the solution. We'll take it from here.
Thank you,
Sam
