Is there a way to have a text entry box which requires the user to enter a string of text, and as soon as they do, the text box disappears. There is a reason to my madness.
Close but not quite. I'm attaching a story file. What I want is to block the word "$ADMIN" until the audio says to type it in. Then once it's typed in, the entire text entry field disappears and the text $ADMIN then shows as it should on the screen. By adding a text entry block, I can see the blinking cursor from the beginning. I don't want that to show until later when the box comes up that says type here. Any more thoughts?
I don't know when the narration says to type it in, so I just have it set to appear at 5 seconds, but that can be adjusted to whatever time you want it to appear at. Basically I just put a white box over the $ADMIN part and hid it when the layer hides.
Thanks. Close to what I had. I guess there is no way to stop the cursor blinking, But since it's telling them up front that they need to enter that text, I guess it will work. Thanks for your help.

You could put the text entry on a layer, show that layer when the timeline starts, and hide the layer when the Text Entry variable changes.
Ive attached a Storyline file demonstrating this, I hope it helps!
Hi Nadja! Looks like Jackson has popped in to assist you here. Hopefully that solution will work for you :)
