text entry box variable - when results are shown, can that print?
Dec 19, 2013
Hi,
I'm working on a new series of training modules (in an office setting) - I want the learner to have the option to click a pen or pen and paper at any point during the tutorial to take a note if they wanted to. I was thinking I would have this as a variable text entry box, so that at the end of the course the learner could view all their notes -- is it possible to print those notes? I've never tried.
Alternately, I rarely use the built in Resources tab from the player, but could make the "resources" from the player be the person's notes? or some other way other they can both call up their notes during the video, but also access them when the tutorial ends?
Just brainstorming I guess and wondering. Thanks!!

Nevermind! I just saw a post from Stephanie Harnett that basically answers this question!

Hi all. I built a course earlier this year that contains a "notes" function to allow users to take a moment to reflect and type their thoughts on certain questions. This is used in place of a typical multiple response/choice type question. Thought I'd share it here with you!
This is the link to the other thread where Stephanie Harnett explains how this works. What a great idea and how great is it that both Stephanies took time to share this with us. http://community.articulate.com/forums/p/41146/224813.aspx#224813.
Thanks Stephanie for the update, and Jeffrey for sharing the link!
I watched what was done here, very impressive. Stephanie Harnett used Storyline, is there a way to accomplish this in Studio
Hi Scott,
I haven't seen a set up in Studio, but hopefully if someone in the community has done similar they'll be able to share here.
I am hoping. I am trying a couple of things right now, testing for the possibility of doing that.
