Text Entry Field: Some bug or constraint this one

I noticed that the text entry field does not automatically fill in vertically and develop a scroll....it fills out only horizontally with text moving leftward.
The golden height of text entry field it seems is 61 pixels 
At that height, the text aligns itself to the top and the text field will fill vertically and develop a scroll....funny this constraint, which has no relation to the font size!
