Hi, I've created some text boxes some of which need to be entered in Hebrew (right to left) and some in English (left to right) The text direction always appears from right to left. Is there a way to change it? I tried to change the direction of the text through the menu and this not keep the direction.
Ahh, I see. In Storyline 2, we're seeing a problem in the HTML5 output where text entry boxes do not retain right-to-left alignment. Fortunately the Flash output still works correctly. You can test that by viewing this sample file in a Flash-enabled browser.
We're keeping an eye on this bug to evaluate how many customers are impacted and what impact it has on courses. The number of customers and depth of impact are two of the elements that help us prioritize bugs and fixes.
This uses a web object embedded on the page to display the text from right to left as it is typed, and then returns a different variable (myString) to Storyline which contains the string in the proper right to left format. Please test this in your language. I've also attached a sample project file.
It is precisely the direction of the right to the left that works for me. What is not working is the left to the right. To do the same 2 times. Maybe it has to do with the fact that the player's settings are in Hebrew?

Hi Liat, I'm happy to help you figure this out.
It sounds like you're trying to use text entry boxes with left-to-right and right-to-left text direction, is that correct?
Have a look at this sample file, and let me know if that's what you're after.
Yes, that's what I meant
i have storyline 2

Here's some more detail about how we tackle bugs. I'm really sorry that I can't say if this issue will be fixed, but you're in the right place to stay updated on this bug's progress.
Liat, see if this will work as a workaround for you: http://www.andersonelearning.com/demo/typetextrightoleft/story.html

Yes, that is probably the cause. I will try to reverse that project for you to test.
