Text entry reference changes font

Dec 16, 2013

Hi all

I am aware of the known issue surrounding Text entry references. The desired font changes to a default font if there is a reference present. I am in quite a unique position due to the infrastructure constraints I work with - Citrix environment, Wyse terminals, low bandwith to name a few!

This issue actually improves the appearance of normally grainy and distorted text we have to deal with. My question is fairly simple - does anybody know what the default font storyline inserts into a text box that contains a text reference?

I am hoping I can use this font throughout, replacing the grainy distorted text I normally get. Screenshot attached so show you what I mean! Worst case scenario I can create a dummy reference, insert into all text fields and make transparent, however I then have quite a lot of formatting to get through!

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ricky,

I believe the default font for starting a new Storyline course would be the Articulate font, but I can see in your image, that's not what you're getting in the text variable reference. When you click in that text box while editing, what does it show you? Any chance you can share the .story file with us here?

Hi Ricky,

Ashley is assisting another department at the moment, and isn't able to get to the forums.

However, I wanted to pop in and suggest importing into a new file. 95 MB is a little too large for the forum to handle, but if you could just share the slide that contains this, we could take a look.

Here's how to import a single or multiple slides into a new file, from an existing project:

Thanks!
