Text Entry Trigger

I'm creating a software simulation and I want to create a text entry that will advance to the next slide when the user enters a sequence of characters, '11375'. I want the slide to advance after the number is typed without the user having to press the enter key or the next button.
I've tried creating a trigger to do this that jumps to the next slide when the user presses 5. The slide advances, but the numbers entered into the text field change sequence with the '5' moving to the first position.
I'd appreciate any suggestions for making this work.

Can you post a project with just that slide in it?
The project has 2 slides in it. If you go back to the first slide after typing the text, you'll see that it's not the text that was entered.
Lynn, this appears to be related to the fact that you are publishing for CD, which opens the project in IE by default. Firefox did not exhibit the problem when published for Web, but IE still showed the problem. Will CD be your intended publishing format? If so, I will try to devise a workaround.
Thanks for looking into this. I use Chrome as my default browser, so when I publish the project it will open in Chrome. I publish to CD for reviewers. However, the project is delivered on an LMS. The trigger reacts the same way when published for an LMS.
I opened the HTML5 output in Chrome 61, and did not see the issue. I'll publish on Scorm Cloud and check it out there. Which LMS are you using?
The LMS is TOPYX.
It's curious that we're getting different results.
I'm wondering, after completing the first slide and advancing to the second slide, did you go back and look at the first slide. When I've done this, I see that the '5' has become the first rather than the last digit.
It worked okay in Scorm Cloud too. I disabled Flash in Chrome, so I'm pretty sure I was seeing the HTML5 version. I did go back to the previous slide this time and the number was okay. When opening in IE, I could see the number changing as I pressed the "5" key. I didn't see that happen in Chrome at all. I'm running the latest version of Chrome 61 on Windows 7. Can you try uploading to Scorm Cloud to test it there?
It doesn't work in Scorm Cloud for me. However, I have not disabled Flash. Since the training is going out to numerous clients, I will have no control over their use of Flash or their choice of browsers.
OK, I will try the flash output when I get back to the office.
Thanks for your help. Is there anything in the publishing settings that I can change so that Flash will not be used? Although, as I write this, I'm wondering if Flash is the problem since there were problems with the trigger when the file was published for CD.
Ok, I was finally able to replicate this in Chrome. It does it in both IE and Chrome when viewing the Flash output. I'm not sure if that helps or not.
Thanks for looking at this. Is there any way to get this trigger to work without the typed text being reordered when advancing to the next slide?
Well I thought this would be fairly easy using some extra triggers, but I can't figure out how to set the displayed value of a text entry field. The field does not appear to respond to its variable being changed. Hopefully I'm missing something obvious.
