I stumbled upon the threads from previous Storyline versions, where text grouped with shapes won't animate as a group object.
Is there some way to overcome it in Storyline 360? (I tried it, and text appears before its background shapes appear: first text animated, and then after some delay its background shapes appear too).
Can you transform text into shape somehow to group it together?
If you have a shape and not a graphic, the shape can have text. Right click it and choose edit text. Lots of bad experiences have taught me that I want a text box, or a shape with text, but not a group. As you have found, groups do not play nicely, and are very high-maintenance.
Glad it helped. :) I would always recommend to build everthing first before you insert something into the state of an other object. It could act a bit strange tho, because it´s not meant to work like this I think. :D

Hi Irina,
you could copy the text into the state of the object or the other way around, then it should be animated as one object.
Greetings
Susi
