Text missing from final slide when published

Jan 30, 2018

When I publish my course the final slide loses its text - but only one text box. I have tried redoing the slide, publishing to CD, LMS (and viewed in SCORM cloud), Articulate Review, as well as changing fonts etc. I've also tried flash/html fall back and the reverse - still nothing. I have even gone back to my back-ups that had worked and they have the same anomaly.

I have updated 360 to the latest version (29/01/18) hoping that this would fix it up. (the slide contains a java-script date of completion and that works fine.

Can anyone suggest something else? My client is waiting for their course :(

Thanks!

p.s also having too many issues with clients using different browsers and course not behaving the way they should. I've read the forums for fixes but its difficult to tell big corporations not to use edge etc. I'm using Chrome.

Hi Frances, It was showing in preview but it no longer does that either. There is no layer on the final slide and it is one I used/adapted from the content library (not a results slide). I make backups as I go along and its been working fine until yesterday when I published it to SCORM cloud and noticed while reviewing.

I went back to all my backups and they present the same way. It actually looks like the text is microscopic rather than having disappeared now that I look at it. But I cant tell as it look like dots - maybe?

I have even rebuilt the slide - its too weird! I cannot figure it out.

Can you see the attachment? ( I have covered the clients logos for confidentially I don't usually have ugly black squares on them ..lol).)

Frances once I removed the name variable it reappeared - so it has something to do with the variable. I am deleting the name and surname variable and will recreate it. Thanks for highlighting that to me :)  - I really appreciate your help in trouble shooting this issue - YAY you're awesome!!

(The variable worked all the way through the course except for that last slide - quite strange indeed)

I just had a look at it's set to 'resize shape to fit text '  - and so that all looks ok.

Yeh really strange. The thing that was most odd is that it suddenly did that. I landed up deleting the name variable from the slide all together. It just says Course completed, the name of the course and the date - the LMS will pick up the learner name so it shouldn't be an issue, it just looked nice and personal.

Thanks for all your input though.
