Text not displaying correctly in LMS
Jul 04, 2017
When I publish to SCORM 1.2 for a client's LMS the text in notes and in the actual content is missing many of the letters - see screenshot. It has happened to all content including that which was created by Engage.
I used Calibri font in the actual Storyline 360 project and the Player is set to the same font. The file is published as HTML5 with Flash fallback, Storyline Player. I supplied the file to the client as a Zip file. When I load the same Zip file into our own cloud based LMS (Moodle) we dont have this problem.
I have tried to find an answer in discussions but cant find one for this particular problem.
Can anyone help please.

Fonts are rendered by the user's system using a nearest match. If the viewer doesn't have Calibri on their system, their computer will choose the "nearest" match, with differing results of success. Selecting one of the common fonts like Arial will help as most modern systems include these fonts... if lessen the artistic element a bit.
Swap to flash with html5 fallback, it may be the lms is forcing IE into compatibility mode.
Thank you, I tried changing fonts but it made no difference, published to flash html5 fallback and looks like problem is fixed. Thank you for the advice much appreciated.
I'm having the same issue - but it's only been happening for two days, it's been fine until then. I publish in SCORM 1.2 and i've included HTML5 output. The font i'm using in articulate is 'arial' so that shouldn't be an issue. I've just been sent through a screenshot of one of the questions with a few random missing letters. What can I do? I don't know how to publish to flash html5 fallback -I can't see that as an option.
Thanks for that screenshot, Kim. Were you testing in your LMS there? It's worth testing it in another LMS environment, for comparison's sake. SCORM Cloud is a good option--it's industry standard, and it's free!
Publishing with Flash/HTML5 fallback is a feature in Storyline 360 and Storyline 3. Are you using Storyline 2?
It appears that the issue is only with Internet Explorer.
Whole words and sentences are missing now.
It was working fine until the last 2 weeks - has there been an update for IE or something?
I am using Articulate Storyline - the first one I believe.
Hey Kim - I just responded to you here.
