Text on State Not Showing

On the attached story file, I have 3 images with 3 states each. I added a different image and 2 text boxes to the Selected state of each image. When previewed, the image change is reflected but the text does not appear when the image is selected. I've also tried this by creating an entirely new state (checked), but the same thing happens. I can add the text to the layer, but hoped to find out why this happens as I come across this issue frequently. Thank you!

I think I figured out the issue in the event this happens to someone else. I had added a fade animation to the text boxes. When I removed the animation, the text boxes appeared. I know that I've added animations to states in the past and they worked, but perhaps not to text boxes???
Hi Lu,
I have run a few tests on your file and found that the text does actually appear, but only after a very long delay, which is strange and I can't find a reason for it. As you have probably already seen, if you remove the fade animation, the text appears straight away when the image is selected, as it should.
Unless I have missed something, I have a feeling that this may be a bug as the behaviour is not in accordance with the settings you have made, so it will be interesting to see what staff may think of this issue.
From my point of view, I can see no reason why your slide should not work the way you intended it to.
It is because you have the layer set to pause the timeline of the base layer which is then pausing the animation inside of the state, not a bug it is by design.
Thanks Phil,
I completely missed that one !
Yes, Phil, that makes perfect sense. Didn't think of that. Thank you!
I'm having the same issue, but instead of the text coming back when I removed the animation, it remains hidden and there's no pause feature.
Everything else in the state shows. It's just the text
Hi kc
if you can share your slide someone will be able to help you troubleshoot.
