How can 1 make sure, the the audop stops when a user cklicks on a button to show a layer? And also when the user jumps to the next slide while the audio is playing and then moves back to the previous slide. Currently the text-to-speech engine starts from the position it was left before.

To reset the slides in story view select the all and on the panel on the right set the slide properties to reset to initial state.
To pause the audio, double click the layer and choose pause baselayer or add a trigger to the button that opens the layer to stop the media.

sorry, but I don´t find the option to reset to slides Initial state. Can you post a screenshot?
The second advice with the trigger works well, so thanks a lot.
