Yes, you can add audio (incl, audio files that were produced with a TTS tool) to screen recordings. For screen recordings that were inserted as 'Video on a Single Slide', it may be tricky to synch the audio to what's happening on the screen.
This last year has seen a disruptive change in how TTS (Text to Speech) can be achieved. Now Google Chrome on iOS, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux along with Safari on iOS, Mac, Windows all support real-time text to speech in the users own browser (no server connection or audio files are needed).
The other real benefit here is you don't need to regenerate the audio files every time you make a text change on your slides.
We've made an addon for storyline 2 that makes this easy and also fills the gap for Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers.
I just wanted to give you a heads-up on how things have changed for TTS, being able to skip generating audio files can save you valuable production time.
I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions or feedback here.

That's great thanks Michael, I thought you could but I'm not overly familiar with TTS tools so I thought it best to double check.
I presume this is done from 'importing audio'?
Thanks again
You can add sound files from Insert >> Sound >> Sound from File.
Fabulous Thanks!
Hi Charlotte! Glad Michael was able to help you out with this, just let us know if you need anything further. Thanks Michael!
