Text to Speech for those translating, lessons learned

As mentioned by others, adding the text in the notes section does not work well with the speed to narrate a video in my case. The timing requires major audio edits. It also does not work with layers as the notes are entirely on the main layer. I added the T-T-S by just typing in the text for each small part and placed it on the timeline at the right spot, maybe 15 times for this short video. But it needs translation and how to do that with other languages? I then placed text boxes with the script all along the timeline to match the audio. They are off the screen area so they are never seen. Now when I export for translation I get the text to translate (CC text as well) and place the translated text in the T-T-S engine in the new language. So much cleaner than text boxes and silence, or worse, English with translated text boxes.

I may be reading this wrong but I am not sure if that will work well although the text will match the English and be translated does it create a grammatically correct translation, in my experience in a translation the vocal track would change quite dramatically and different words are used based on previously used words. I could be wrong but I think it would create a bit of a garbled translation.
Without the text boxes the translation export is practically empty. We send out the file to a translation company. Once we import the new language all the text boxes will be populated with the new language text.
I will delete the English narration, run the new text into the T-T-S engine for the correct language and hope I get it positioned right on the timeline. Tested this with Swedish here and it worked rather well.
I think it will work for some languages but others the whole context will change Japanese and Chinese would not work like this.
