Text to speech issue

Hello there, hoping someone has an easy fix for this problem. I am using text to speech, as well as auto generated closed captioning, for a module. The word the voice needs to say is "record", like record a meeting, but the pronunciation is like a vinyl record, an LP. I can trick the voice to say it the way I want it, but then the CC will be messed up. Ideas?
