Text Variables shrinks font size

Hi, I am using text variables in a course I originally made in Storyline and converted to Storyline 2 (but I have had this problem in Storyline 2 courses too). I am using text variable to get the trainee's name. Then using this in the text eg 'This is where you can help%name%. ' but this often (but not always ) shrinks the text font when I preview the course (for the paragraph with the variable in). I have tried making the text box bigger. Is there a consistent way around this.
Thanks in expectation.

Hi Laura,
Welcome to community.
Please visit the link below. Here I have answered the same question but it is regarding text boxes. But it may help in your problem as well. Just select your variable text field open property box (hit Ctrl+Enter) go to text properties and select "Do not Autofit" option.

Let me know does it works for you or not.
Hi Laura,
I'd look at making the text box larger and ensuring it's not set to "autofit" as Parashuram mentioned. The text box reference won't dynamically updated based on your text in the reference, so you'll want to make sure it has enough space to accommodate it.
Hi Ashley,
I know it is not possible, but have you ever seen anybody succeeded in restricting input text field variable to certain character limit. Say for example in Fill in the blanks type of question, user can not type beyond 15 alphabets.
Hi Parashuram,
I've seen other users discussing it with the use of Javascript - but that's not something I'm equipped to offer support for. Hopefully folks in the community will be able to weigh in here.
Thanks Ashley, for reply.
I will start new tread regarding this to discuss with other Java experts.
