Text wrapping in text input fields

Dec 20, 2020

Hello

I have a number of text input fields.  I have changed the text box settings to 'do not autofit' and 'wrap text in shape'.   The default text wraps on the slide but when it is previewed/published it doesn't and neither does the user's entry.  Is this a bug?

Any suggestions?

Hello Jennifer!

This sounds similar to a bug we've logged where a text entry with height less than 60 px doesn't wrap and shows text-centered vertically. Does this sound like what you're noticing?

If this different than what you're seeing, would you mind uploading your file to us? Here's a secure upload link.

@Lauren Connelly, I have a similar problem to the bug you describe above. Perhaps you can point me to a resolution or workaround?

I have an essay question in a Storyline 360 project. The essay answer text box appears to have the text top-aligned while in Slide View, but when previewing the slide, the text is middle-aligned. Please see attached for screenshots.

Hi Shelly,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing that you're running into a similar issue and for the images to display the issue.

I just did a quick test in a sample file and I'm unable to replicate this behavior. Are you able to replicate it on a new slide or in a new project?

With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
