The Grouping of ANDs and ORs
Mar 10, 2015
I have a very interesting challenge. I want my story to jump to a slide based on the following conditions -> someone from either Marketing or Finance views all 3 videos. All variables are working fine.
So, in Storyline 1, the conditions to jump to the slide look like this:
video1==true
AND video2==true
AND video3 == true
AND Department==Finance
OR Department==Marketing
Unfortunately, if the person is from Marketing and they have watched all the videos, it doesn't jump to that slide. Someone from Finance though will move to that slide when the button is clicked.
Can anyone shed some light on this logic dilemma? Thanks....

What if you delete this "or" condition and add a new trigger: jump to slide if department=Marketing? Have you tried this?
These conditions you wrote don't say that you need to watch all the videos if you're from Marketing. Then my suggestion should work.
Joanna,
Yes. I see your point and no I haven't tried that. I'll try it. Thanks....
It works. Thanks very much!!!
Great to hear that, Paul!
Glad that Joanna was able to assist you here Paul. Thanks for popping back in with an update.
