Hi! i have a course in which every module is a video lesson, it has not quizes. But i would like that one the preview video gives 10 points. So i need to set up a course that it pass information about these 10 points in LMS . It seems to me that i need to set up a trigger but i don't know how do it.
So, i want the output: Pupils in the LMS watch one video lesson and when done, statistics show 10 points.
The only way to assign points and a score that could be reported to an LMS is through the user of a quiz question and a results slide. You could add a video onto a quiz slide, such as a pick one for example - and use a "continue button" on the slide itself as the correct answer to allow the user to proceed and count that as a correct answer with 10 points.
You could certainly set up triggers and track the variable - but there wouldn't be a way to report the value of that variable to your LMS without it being associated with a quiz/results. There may be a way to do it using Javascript or reporting to an external database/text file - but that's something I'll have to defer to the community in regards to.
Asheley, hi! i tried but I couldn't do it : " You could add a video onto a quiz slide, such as a pick one for example - and use a "continue button" on the slide itself as the correct answer to allow the user to proceed and count that as a correct answer with 10 points. " Could you explain how do it with screenshots?
I set up a simple .story file with a pick one question type including the video and a button. You'll see once the user clicks the button they go to the results slide, and then that is showing their score of 10 points based on clicking that continue button. If you wanted to get a little fancier, you could also set it so that the continue button is initially disabled or invisible until a certain point in the timeline or similar.
