Dear All, so it is my third issue with the storyline I have been asked to edit. This time all quizes do not work when I preview the full storyline. However, they all work whilist previewing a particular single slide. Please advise how to fix the problem. Thank you a lot.
All works when I publish it but I do not want to do it. What I really need is a working storyline. When I open the quiz, I cannot hit any buttons in order to submit a correct answer. This is only happening when I preview the full story. All works for single slide preview.
So strange that it works well when the file is published, but it doesn't work correctly in Storyline Preview.
We'd love to take a closer look at your file--you can send it to us privately here. Also, be sure to let us know what version of Storyline you're using.
Hi Alyssa, sorry for a late reply. I have managed to resolve all the issues and all is fine when I work from home. However, all problems comes back when I work at the office. Do you have any idea why the same file behaves differently depends on the location?? Thank you. Kinga
Good morning, Kinga, and let's get those roadblocks out of the way!
First, can I confirm that you're working on a local hard drive (typically the C: drive) at your office? Working on a network drive or an external USB drive can cause erratic behavior similar to what you're experiencing, so I'd like to rule that out as the culprit.
Another thought is that there could be security restrictions set up on the company network. Have you had a chance to share this behavior with your IT team to see what they might suggest?
Thanks so much for your response. I woud like to confirm that I have been working on the C drive. The IT has also confirmed that there are no security restrictions and the file should work without any problems. I asked them to check the file too.
I have played the file several times now and have to say that its behavior is really strange as it sometimes plays the content with no issues and other times, nothing really works as it should.
Hi Kinga! One more thing to check: are you using the latest update of Storyline 360 Update 21 on both your home and office computers (assuming you're using two different computers here)?
What a mystery, Kinga! We're not going to give up until we figure this out.
I saw you were already knee-deep in troubleshooting with Vevette, one of our Support Engineer Rockstars. Since she's familiar with your setup, I'm going to share our conversation with her so we can work on other approaches. Look out for a follow-up email soon!

Hi Alyssa, I'm using Storyline 2 and I've been using the same laptop. Thanks a lot.

Hi Katie, Vevette was working on audio, which was working on her side. I will be happy to liaise with her again. Thanks so much!!
Sure thing, Kinga! ☺️
You're in great hands, and I'll follow your new case along as I'm also curious to know what the culprit is!
