The SL Spellchecker

How, exactly does this work?

In one of my "Notes" it redlined the word "resourcing", (seems like a perfectly normal word to me...), and helpfully offered the alternative resourcin.

Where might it be picking this up from, and can we point to specific language dictionaries etc.

Not an area where I know much (one of many...), so please excuse ignorance if this is a silly question.

Thanks

Bruce

Bruce, you may have added it my mistake.

An interesting useless fact

A lot of spellcheckers have the wrong words in on purpose, this allows for copyright checking if someone decides to steal the dictionary.

Its very similar to ordnance survey maps that have mistakes put in on purpose, its how they caught the AA for copying their maps

Hi Bruce! You can set up your spelling preferences in the Storyline Options. In the tutorial, check out the part about modifying your custom dictionary. Sounds like you'd want to add "resourcing" to your custom dictionary, so that it doesn't get flagged as a misspelling.

BTW, I didn't know what "resorcin" was and had to google it, lol. Guess it's a chemical compound. The things you learn here in the forums!
