There must be a better way...

Hi,
Having built a slider with 100 states and the images to go with that and having wired up the code I was quite please with the result. It took half a day overall but the time invested seemed appropriate.

I now want to duplicate my slider activity 5 times and find that I have to update all of the 100 code triggers for each copy of it. That's over 800 mouse clicks and a lot of time.

I was wondering if SL had thought of providing a tool to copy all of the trigger code out to an editor to allow for find and replace editing?

Hi Bruce,

Interesting idea and it's not one I've heard talked about - so you'll definitely want to share your thoughts here in the form of a feature request.

Have you played around with different ways of duplicating, such as the individual slider vs. the slide itself vs. the .story file? I'd think the .story file could be duplicated and would keep variable names and then possibly rename them once you'd import into the other file as they'd be recognized as named the same?Just thinking out loud here...so let us know what you end up going with!
