I'm trying to set the player colors (classic player) for a new course and there's a thin white (?) line (one pixel?) under the slide. What object do I change it's color to so I can "remove" it?
I have the SL360/SL3 Player Colors reference in front of me and I can't find it.
Does it display the same in all browsers and when scaled? I think some browsers fudge when calculating pixels (my non tech understanding) and can create some blur or artifacts that disappear when scaling the object/page. I get that a lot on the ESPN site. But if I scale the page it corrects and the artifact disappears.
Good thing is that ESPN no longer covers sports, just gossip and politics, so I don't have to go to the site much anymore. :)
Adding this for the bug report report that I'm now filing so I can add a link to this.
With the new SL360 production release, I now also seeing a vertical line appearing on the right side of the slide. This only appears in Preview and nit in Flash or HTML5 published content.
Hmm, appears to only happen with 4K monitors. I run dual 4K monitors and have a Notebook that has a 4K display. Seeing the problem consistently with all of these, regardless of the font size setting.
On my backup PC, which runs "normal" 1080p, there are no extra lines.
Thanks for the detailed troubleshooting, Gerry! We have a report filed for this behavior, so I'm going to add your latest notes. I'll tag this discussion so we can update folks here as well with any new information.
Unfortunately updating SL didn't fix it for me. Still seeing the white line along the bottom and side of my module.
It's happening both in preview mode within Storyline and in my exported SCORM 1.2 file. The attached screenshot is from my test file in SCORM cloud. Interestingly, it's not showing up in Articulate Review.
It doesn't seem to show up in the modern player though, so that might help others seeing the same issue.
I filed a bug report on this and Articulate was able to reproduce it with what I gave them. So, as Alyssa said, stay tuned and hope this gets addressed. :)
Our team is still looking into this bug. As soon as a fix is in place, we'll come back and post an update here in this discussion. Thanks for sticking with us through this!
Happened here too, thin white line at right of my slide when previewed and on Review suddenly appears on all my modules Happy to see the developers are working on it.
Sorry you ran into this! Thanks for letting us know that adding a shadow to the shape allowed you to work around the issue. We'll let you know as soon as we get this resolved!
Hi, I am having the same problem, only the "thin" white line looks pretty thick when I view the course in Explorer. In fact it looks garish. The lines are far less noticeable in other browsers but this seems like a major issue. Has any progress been made so far?
Our team is still working on a fix but has determined this is caused by scaling the player within the browser.
The modern player always scales and the classic player provides authors the choice of scaling or locking the player. Until we know more, a workaround for the classic player is to lock it at optimal size.

That could be the slide background bottom????
Hey, Tom! :) Thanks!
Don't think it is . . . ?
Weird thing is in the player preview, you don't see the line.

Ding, ding, ding . . . we have a winner, Houston.
It only displays in preview in SL360 itself. It does not appear when published as Flash or HTML5.
As for the ESPN comment, every site these days seems to be politics and gossip . . . ;)
THANKS!!! :)

Hi, I'm having the same issue using the Modern player. My shape expends outside the slide border but the lines keeps showing. Any news on this issue ?
Thanks
I just added a shadow to the shape and the line seems to disappear
