I'm producing a magazine piece of eLearning in SL2 which acts as a piece of compliant training.
It's full of video, images and interactivity, each page can be clicked in any order from the menu - but importantly ALL of the content must be tracked to show all of the content has been viewed.
Any ideas of how a another slide is only available to be clicked on once all other slides have been viewed? Or something else of that nature?
So there are 9 pages, They can view them in any order but as soon as all 9 have been viewed - page 10 is shown.
Create 9 T/F variables one for each page default to False. Add a trigger to each page to adjust page1 variable to True when timeline starts on page1...repeat the trigger for each page.
On the menu page add another trigger, Jump to page 10 when timeline starts on menu page on condition that page1=true and page2=true and page3=true...up to page9=true. or jump to page10 when user clicks next button (on menu slide) on condition that page1=true and page2=true and page3=true...up to page9=true.
You could use a number variable that counts to 9 but you couldn't be sure they select the 9 individual pages (might do a page twice)...
I should have mentioned, I'm quite new to SL! So it might take me a while!
So to check, I put a variable on each page the user has to view - and once that is done, a condition on the menu slide to send to a replica scene but with an added button on the menu.
That way the user can continue on the course if they want to - but can also end the course when then need to.
Have a go and if you get stuck use the grey 'add attachment' button to upload your story file (if it's not confidential) - someone will be happy to help you.
heres a link to a tutorial to help you get started

Hi Wendy,
Thanks for the reply.

Keep your fingers crossed!
