we received a .story file from a client for translation, but we cannot open it with Storyline 3 because of the error "This project is invalid or corrupt and cannot be opened. It may have been created in an earlier version of Storyline". Any suggestions on how to solve this issue? It's the first job for a potential new client, so we'd like to avoid asking him to send us the file again or to check it.
We tried reimporting the project into a new one, but several errors appeared (as per attachment).
Not sure if the file itself is corrupted or was just created in an older version of Storyline. Although I found a discussion having a similar issue as this. There might still be a chance to recover the project from the temp files. The thing is, if it can be recovered, it will be available on the device where it was created. Hello Monica and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
Do you have the same version of Storyline as your client?
Are you experiencing any other issues with .story files yourself or from other clients?
