Any specific reason why it is a requirement to use TIFF images for this project? Just curious...
I know that Storyline usually automatically converts any image inserted to be optimized for your delivery format (web, CD, etc.) but can't say that I've really tested how it handles TIFF images.
I'm not able to see the image you included here in the forums, it's just a blank space for me. TIFF is one of the supported formats as you'll see here, but you mentioned inserting it from a network drive as well, so I wanted to offer a reminder to work with all local project files.
Also, welcome to the Heroes community Arron and fh image!
I can't import a tif or tiff image into storyline. The message I get "does not appear to be a supported image format. Please select an image from one of the supported formats." Now the only thing is that the images were created on a MAC. The images open in other applications. Any thoughts?
and another addendum - I have inserted the same tif image into powerpoint then saved the image as a tif image back out and it now inserts into storyline. Thanks for your continued assistance.
In addition to working locally did you check the file name of the original image to ensure it didn't include any special characters, accents, or symbols? Are you able to share the image file here with us so that we could take a look at it?
Thanks Ashley. Have checked filenames and re-entered them. Still gives me the same message. I have attached the tif file. But again if I insert this same file into powerpoint and save it out as a tif, it is quite happy. Interested to see if it is something quirky with creating tif files on the Mac. Still having lots of fun and thankful for all the talented people on this site.
I know this blog has been up for quite a while, but I wanted to let you know, I've been battling my .tif files for some time now and your post helped. I put it in ppt and then saved it again. Works great. I think mine was created on a MAC too.
I'm using Storyline 3 and this problem is still coming up. PowerPoint does solve the issue, but is there any chance for a fix? Since Storyline does not support vector editing, this means I have to open a single image in three different programs before I can insert it into my project.
Sorry to hear that you're running into this issue. Are you utilizing a TIFF file as well?
I'm glad to know that you are able to work around the issue in the meantime, but if you'd like to share your image file that you had difficulty with, we can certainly take a look.

you mean if we don't need tiff formatvb.net, we can convert tiff image to other formats by online tiff viewer. it is a good idea.
Hi, fh image.
Did you mean to buil a 3rd party image viewer to help read Tiff images? I wonder whether it supprots Tiff reading in VB.NET?

Thanks Donna for coming back to let us know - and that's why we keep the old threads around.
