Time left on course...
Jun 16, 2016
One of my stakeholders (attorneys) has requested a "time left to completion" within a course that plays through with no options to stop for engagement activities. The playbar moves with the audio to show where the audio is in relation to the total audio time, but I'm not finding anywhere that I can add a "time elapsed/time to go" clock or notification as they listen to the module. Does anyone have suggestions? Thank you!

Hi Linda,
There is not an overall timer for the course that you could apply in Storyline - but you could add one from a results slide and use that to help indicate how much time a user has left.
Hi, Linda -- In addition to the information Ashley has shared, I thought I might also pass along the following discussions related to the use of 'countdown' timers in case anything might work to suit your needs:
Thank you for your responses! I was hoping to have something that sits within the player interface and not on the screen, which would require a revamp of the entire project to accommodate the space.
Thank you!
Thank you, Ashley, but this would be for the entire course and not part of quiz result. I appreciate your quick response, though!
Hi Linda,
Although it's set up as a results slide - no reason it can't be accessible for the entire course. You can set the timer to start on the first slide - and this is described in Step 4 of the above tutorial:
Also, just an FYI that responding via email includes your signature here and you're welcome to update and edit the post if needed.
