Time out problem on mobile

Hello, I'm working on an 1 hour  course and I'm having trouble with the LMS timeout on mobile.

The course works fine on PC but on mobile I feel like it doesn't ping the LMS correctly, and if the user stay on the course for more than 30 minutes, when they exit the progress won't be saved and the user is disconnected. When resumed, it'll be the last "check point"- meaning the last time they exit and succesfully saved the course (which could be from the very beginning!) All progress in-between is lost.

I tried the javascript LMSCommit(); to at least salvage some of their progress, but no, the "save point" is only when they exit and re enter the module before being disconnected.

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry you're running into this experience! Have you tried testing your course in a different environment, such as SCORM Cloud, to see if you run into the same time-out error?

  • If everything works as expected in SCORM Cloud, reach out to your LMS to help troubleshoot the issue.
  • If you see the same time-out error in SCORM Cloud, it may be file related, and we'd want to take a closer look.
