Timed Course?

I see that it is possible to set a time limit for users when they are attempting a quiz - but is there a way to set a time limit for an entire course? We are trying to give users a sample version of our course (i.e. a 1 hour trial before purchasing the full version). 

Our LMS provider informs us that is is possible to set this up on the LMS side but Storyline would need to communicate the time limit for it to take effect. Also if this is possible, does a timer feature exist that will show the user how much time has elapsed since the course started?

Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
