Timeline bar on slides

I'm new to Storyline and I'm using the trial version. I want to know if there is any way of removing the timeline bar at the bottom of the slides. It only shows up on some of my scenes - so I don't know what I did to make it active. Now I need to turn it off.

Also, I have incorporated some Knowledge Checks in my online training (not quizzes - I used a basic template). How to I turn off the Search functionality on these slides? I have manually turned off the Seekbar for these slides, but the Search function is still there. Thanks.

Regarding your 2nd question: I assume you mean the Search field at the bottom of the menu. This cannot be selectively turned on/off for individual slides. For your Knowledge checks, you could hide the menu altogether.
