Timeline Help
Jan 13, 2014
Hi All,
I'm hoping this is an easy one. There are times when I want to move the end of the timeline in from the right quickly and easily. If, for example, I use a slide as a template that previously had a 20-minute video on it, the timeline is still set for 20 minutes. Dragging-and-dropping the end of that timeline back to 1-minute can take forever!! Is there a quicker way to bring the end of the timeline in?
Thanks in advance.

Click on the timeline then select the "End" key on the keyboard. The "Home" key will bring you back to the beginning.
Hi Mark,
I believe this only brings me to the end of the timeline, it doesn't drag the timeline back to where I want it. I'm trying to find a better way to bring the end of the timeline back without dragging-and-dropping, which can take as long as 5 minutes per slide. (Yes, I know I could rebuild the slide and re-import the smaller video, but I was hoping there was an easy way to bring the end of the timeline back.)
Oh I know what you mean now. I've had to do this from time to time as well. I haven't found a quick way to do it either. It's a pain for sure. Sounds like a feature request to me.
Hi Keith,
Unfortunately there isn't a faster way than dragging the timeline end back to the left. Although as Mark mentioned, it may be something you'd want to submit a feature request about.
The quickest way I've found to do this is to bring the timeline scale right to its tightest setting (to the left). This 'scrunches' up the timeline therefore enabling you to drag end points far more quickly from right to left.
I just found a great solution to help with this issue. See the suggested answer here: http://community.articulate.com/forums/t/17792.aspx
Hi Mark,
Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for sharing that solution!
Have a great day,
Christine
