Hello there - I'm having trouble with the timeline interaction. When previewed and published, the timeline interaction base layer shows up in each slide layer making an unreadable jumble. It had been working just fine (base layer disappears and the slide layer appears when the label on the left is clicked), and I hadn't reset anything...so I'm not sure what happened to make this change. Any insights or suggestions?
Without seeing your file I don't know which labels you are referring to. Instead of selecting the option I suggested, you can also SELECTIVELY turn on/off items on the baselayer. To do that, expand the 'Base Layer Objects' group in each layers timeline and specify the items that should be hidden or kept when the layer is displayed.
It sounds like Michael has you covered here. But if you'd like you can also share a copy of your .story file here using the add attachment button so that we can take a look.

In the slide properties for each layer, try selecting the 'Hide objects on baselayer' option.
Thanks Michael! That does the trick, but it also makes the labels on the left disappear. Do you know how can I get the labels to stay?

Hi Kim,
