Timeline Q: Slides automatically start transitioning to next slide by default

My slides, by default, are transitioning even though I've set it up to be are automatically starting to transitioning to next slide by default within a timing period of time.  As of now, they are all set at 5 seconds unless I manually change each slide to a set time (ex. 2 minutes).  Is there a way to simply turn off the timer all together?
